Back, Tack, & Back Again

First of all, a spoiler warning for Sandrine. **Don't read below unless you want to ruin the surprise!**

Second, thanks Heather! Your package made it through the treacherous 6th St. mail station and arrived *almost* in perfect condition. Maybe I should have made a special note of it but sending chocolate (even the dark, delicious smelling kind) to Texas in June is pretty risky. Nothing was marred except the chocolate (although we pondered whether or not the freezer might revive it) which was in liquid form at the end of it's journey. Besides that, there was an adorable Pointy Kitty in an awesome 'Men at Work' print. Was there a subtle 80's theme there, with the the fabric and the PopRocks? A cute notecard, and some Brooklyn tunes CD's. Pretty good haul, thanks again!

**Now get lost Sandrine!**

Next, here are the photos of the finished BT3 loot sent off to Sandrine in Belgium. Apparently there is some sort of postal strike over there though, so who knows when the poor girl will get it!

Included was:
Little girly bunny softie
Clutch Purse with lining to match bunny's dress
Some ribbon and fabric quarters to mess around with
A Clover embroidery punch tool, pattern, thread and linen
Tiny ceramic dish filled with vintage buttons
Little notebook
Swankie Hankies

I started out with the Better Homes & Gardens pattern for the rabbit, but had some trouble with the super-soft and stretchy furfur I got to work with. Just ended up constructing her on the fly.

Bead-donk-a-donk! (sorry...)

Today I went to a highly anticipated bead show and sale downtown. After paying $7 for parking and $5 to get in, I had already spent more than I felt comfortable with on beads! I gotta say, there were some beautiful little peices of pretty there, but unfortunately I didnt want or need 500 of each. Everything was sold on strands in bulk and aimed decidedly on the wholesale buyers. So after picking up some 'mini-strands' of vintage German glass I headed home to see what kind of bead buying trouble could be had online. And lucky for me, there are several retail sites perfectly happy to let the customer buy just ONE of anything if so desired. So I just spent an obscene amount of time clicking and picking and choosing, but boy was it fun! There is something really gratifying about adding thing after thing for just pennies to your shopping cart and the total barely grows! I realize they are teeny bits of merchandise, and I'm probably getting ripped off if I compared the wholesale prices of the show, but who cares?! Here's where I spent my hard earned pennies:
