Flippin' Sweet

SXSW is over and the neighborhood is quiet once more. Well, not really. A house being torn down across the street has taken the place of really loud outdoor rockin'. We didn't make much of an appearance this (our first) SXSW due to ignorance about early badge buying. Now we are fully aware of the timeline to affordable festival going. We did take in the IF! tradeshow and the swarm of computery folks within. I'd have to say my highlight was definitely brushing past Uncle Rico while leaving. He was in a big hurry with a hot girl in tow.

The SXSW crowds have crept back to thier caves to finish hibernating but Austin is starting to bloom. Everything is growing and turning bright green at once. Even though we havn't experienced a central TX summer, I know instinctually to relish these perfect days.

Our backyardmeadow is about a foot tall and climbing. I know we have to do something about it to help with the 'squitos and all, but Ginny is just having a blast back there being a jungle cat. She's teased our neighbor's cat, Guinness, into a frenzy with her stalking and pouncing.

See ya, money...

crap. found the Quilt Store.

I giddily bought a new supply of the very sweet mini-floral i used my last scrap of for the mock turtle's hankie. I also gave in again to my obsession with prints that look like aprons discarded by 1930's dustbowl ladies. Plans for any of this? nope.
